A co-worker of mine insists on
creating Debian packages trough cmake instead of doing them as usual. But I think (as many other people I asked trough IRC) that this is a bad idea, specially considering copyright and control files. What's you opinion on this topic?
Ana told me to search for this thread in debian-devel: http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-devel@lists.debian.org/msg261623.html.
ResponderEliminarIndeed, I haven't thought of this before, but the correct way to do this would be to help making debhelper find the necessary info from cmake instead of the other way round.
On the other hand, debhelper's cmake detection and compatibility is working pretty fine :-)
